Are you a skilled tradesperson seeking a new career opportunity? We have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for an Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Specialist covering the Skye Area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical maintenance and repair of building services, plant, and equipment, ensuring the provision of excellent patient care.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of a recognised Electrical/Mechanical qualification is essential.
  • A current UK driving license is required.
  • Experience in heating services, boiler plant, pumps, and ventilation systems within a healthcare environment is advantageous.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to work.

We are committed to reducing our full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.

The successful candidate will be expected to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period until the service area changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.

Estimated annual salary: £35,000 - £45,000 based on national averages and location.
