Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Linsco Ltd. as an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the success of our construction projects. As an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of tender documents, managing construction costs, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
  • Manage construction costs, including monitoring and controlling expenditure.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standard.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven commercial experience in a similar level role.
  • A relevant qualification or good experience of quantity surveying.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third parties.
  • Good awareness of codes of practice that impact on commercial matters, e.g., Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE, etc.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Good knowledge of the construction industry.
