Process Controls Engineer

Northeast Lincolnshire

12-month full-time contract

Inside IR35 (PAYE / Umbrella)

Rate: £40.00/h - DOE

Process Control / Chemical plant / manufacturing / DeltaV / SCADA HMI

We are seeking an experienced Process Controls Engineer to join our team on an interim basis for an initial 12-month contract (with likely extension), to oversee the continued maintenance and upgrade of existing control systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences.
  • Utilize standards developed for programming of DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages.
  • Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration.
  • Experience within a continuous manufacturing process environment (ideally a top-tier COMAH site) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian.
  • Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, ethernet networking would be advantageous.
