Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our successful manufacturing team in Kent. The primary objective of this role is to drive forward the design and development of existing and new products, ensuring timely delivery, specification adherence, and budget optimization.
The Mechanical Design Specialist will be responsible for designing and detailing engineering components and complete systems using 3D CAD software, adhering to defined standards and procedures. Key tasks include:
- CAD modelling and drafting on Inventor 3D CAD to Company standards and procedures
- Ensuring validation & verification is undertaken, documented, and recorded
- Creating Engineering Drawings and issuing to the required standard
- Establishing, maintaining, and managing strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Liaising with and providing guidance to commercial function, manufacturing, and project management teams
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in product development and mechanical design
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience
