About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support (ALS) team at Sparsholt College Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic and emotional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure students meet course requirements and progress towards their goals
  • Liaise with parents and carers to ensure EHCP requirements are being delivered and students are making progress
  • Support students in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis, both in class and throughout the college day
  • Take responsibility for a caseload of key students, ensuring they are meeting course requirements and prepared for adulthood
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people, ideally in an educational setting
  • Good standard of education, including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent
  • Willingness to undertake further training and development
