Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and compassionate Special Education Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and related difficulties, including ADHD, Dyslexia, and Dyspraxia, as well as secondary mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with Autism and associated difficulties, promoting emotional and social development.
- Assist in implementing Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and Statements of Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring seamless collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters independence and self-esteem, while encouraging positive relationships with students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, including physical disabilities, language disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or special education, with a strong focus on supporting students with Autism and related difficulties.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals, ensuring effective support and guidance.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children, with a focus on promoting emotional and social development.
