We are seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at MTrec Technical. In this role, you will promote and support a positive safety culture by continually developing and upholding our company values.
About the RoleThis involves maintaining our health, safety, environment, security, and facilities management systems, including UKAS-accredited ISO 14001 certification. We estimate that the salary for this position is around £50,000 per year, based on industry standards and the required qualifications.
The successful candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and/or willingness to pursue one. Accreditation as an ISO 14001 auditor is also highly desirable. You should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an engineering or production environment.
Key responsibilities include evaluating compliance with HSE legislation and best practices, identifying areas for improvement, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. Regular site inspections will be conducted to verify adherence to policies and procedures.
You will also develop internal strategies and policies to achieve HSE objectives in collaboration with Directors. Leadership skills are essential for leading training sessions for managers and employees on health and safety issues and risks.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages. Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to groups, are also required.
