About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our National Supply Chain Management team as a Sustainability Project Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our Global Sustainability Strategy and play a key part in shaping the future of Aldi globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the National Supply Chain Manager in the delivery of projects to reduce Aldi's operational environmental impact.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time.
  • Monitor and measure progress of internal and external sustainability trials and activities across Aldi UK and Ireland.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and implement business cases to support sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver our sustainability strategy end-to-end.
  • Monitor market-wide technological advances and competitor activity in the relevant areas of sustainability.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on sustainability performance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze challenges and offer solutions.
  • Desire for continued personal and professional development.
  • Flexible and resilient when workload demands it.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range from £36,080 - £42,135.
  • Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
