About This Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mixed secondary school in Morden, London. As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with English as an Additional Language and special educational needs, helping them to overcome language barriers and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting Student Progress: Assist students with EAL requirements, monitoring their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborative Working: Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting students with EAL requirements.
Requirements:
- EAL Experience: Proven experience working with students who have EAL, with a commitment to fostering multiculturalism and diversity in education.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to inspire and motivate learners, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of diverse student groups.
- Prior Experience: While prior experience is not necessary, a passion for teaching and a willingness to learn and grow with our team is essential.
