Job Overview

Palliative Care Consultant Opportunity

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Palliative Care Consultant to join our team at Whipps Cross University Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide Consultant care to patients in the Margaret Centre Specialist Palliative Care Unit and the Community Palliative Care Team in Waltham Forest.
  • Work flexibly across the trust providing excellent palliative care to the people of East London.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all departments across the Trust and with other palliative care services locally.
  • Participate in the associated teaching programmes and contribute to the development of palliative care services.

Requirements

  • MRCP or Equivalent Specialist qualification
  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice
  • Experience in the management of resources and evidence of experience in Specialist Palliative Care in different settings
  • Able to take responsibility of service without direct supervision
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
