Physiotherapy Support Specialist

About the Role:
This exciting opportunity is now available for a Physiotherapy Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:- To work closely with physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients.
- To deliver therapy sessions to a diverse caseload, including complex cases requiring individualized attention.
- To manage designated patient caseloads independently, conducting assessments and interventions as directed by therapists within established guidelines.
- To provide training and support to patients and their families in using assistive equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
- Technical qualification in health-related field or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience working with patients and understanding of moving and handling principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of behaviour and conduct principles, with commitment to personal development.
- Familiarity with IT systems and ability to learn new software quickly.
This full-time position comes with a competitive salary range of £24,071 to £25,674 per annum, plus a range of benefits including access to training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.
