Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Creative Advocacy Specialist to join our newly-formed Creative & Cultural Advocacy Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing a strategy that integrates cultural advocacy partnerships into our wider engagement and advocacy work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building relationships with cultural sector stakeholders, influencing and advocating for change, and leveraging creative approaches to drive social and political impact.

Job Description

The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the champion for cultural advocacy at Wellcome, inspiring and engaging colleagues about the role culture can play in creating change for health challenges.
  • Working in partnership with cultural sector partners to catalyse new creative content based on Wellcome's science and research that can build public support and inspire action by decision-makers.
  • Contributing to the effective establishment of the Creative & Cultural Advocacy team, informing how creative approaches can be a powerful tool within advocacy and engagement.

The successful candidate will be well-networked within the cultural sector, strategic, and passionate about the role creativity can play in social and political change.
