We are seeking a full-time, Level 3 qualified Deputy Nursery Manager to become a vital part of our Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Nursery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education to all children
- Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing daily nursery operations and managing safeguarding policies
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager on succession planning, training delivery, and professional development initiatives, including coaching and mentoring
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support each child's needs
- Promote the nursery to current and prospective parents to enhance retention and occupancy
- Ensure the nursery's financial success by managing expenditures in line with staffing and budget KPIs
- Engage with local authorities to understand community offerings and enhance nursery practices
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (essential)
- Experience in an Early Years leadership role (preferably as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar)
- Experience participating in regulatory inspections leading to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating
- Confident decision-maker with a track record of supporting and leading staff effectively
- Strong understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislative requirements
- Ability to build trust and foster strong relationships with colleagues and parents
- Proficient in utilizing various communication techniques with children and adults
