About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Relief Care Worker to join our team at CrossReach, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Relief Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal and intimate care, ensuring the dignity and well-being of our service users.
  • Support the use of necessary aids and equipment, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintain a clean and personalized environment, promoting a sense of comfort and security.
  • Promote mental and physical activity, encouraging service users to engage in meaningful pursuits.
  • Monitor nutritional needs, ensuring a balanced and healthy diet.
  • Manage emergency calls and communications, responding promptly and professionally.

Requirements

  • SVQ 3 in Social Care or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Basic computer skills for completing mandatory e-learning courses.
  • Respect for our Christian ethos, facilitating service users' participation in worship of their choice.
  • Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.
