Role Overview:

In beBee Professionals, we are recruiting for an Education Assistant to join our team in Brentwood, UK. This exciting opportunity involves supervising students in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring they stay on task, and maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a school setting, strong communication and classroom management skills, and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments. They should also possess patience and a positive attitude toward supporting students.

As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning, providing feedback to teaching staff, and contributing to a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress.
  • Support students with their learning when necessary.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
  • Patience and a positive attitude toward supporting students.
  • Flexibility to work on short notice when required.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.

Salary: Estimated £60-£80 per day depending on experience and qualifications.
