Manufacturing Plant Operations Manager

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee the start-up, safe operation, and shutdown of our boiler systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the steam plant operates efficiently and effectively, monitoring energy and steam flow readings to optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities- Complete risk assessments and manage risk mitigation actions promptly
- Ensure sufficient, trained staff are available for all shifts in steam-using departments
- Oversee the maintenance of the boiler plant, liaising with the Repairs & Maintenance team and external contractors
- Supervise boiler operators, ensuring they receive relevant training and certification
- Operate and adjust industrial steam boilers within the manufacturing plant
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Record daily operational logs and report any irregularities to the Maintenance team and Management
- Diploma in Boiler Plant Operation Management (DipBOM) or a similar qualification
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Outstanding planning and organizational abilities
- Proficient computer skills, with solid knowledge of Excel
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
