We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our Operations team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations professionals to ensure the smooth running of our Fulfilment Centres.
Key Responsibilities- Create and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
- Analyse and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels
- Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity, and improve quality of service for customers
- Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
You will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.
About the TeamOur Customer Fulfilment team is the foundation of our business, handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate, using emerging technology to offer a bigger, better product range delivered quickly and affordably.
Requirements- A degree
- Relevant experience in people management
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions
- Written and spoken English language skills
While not required, experience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as experience working in another logistics environment, are highly desirable.
