Key Responsibilities

The Cardiothoracic Advisory Group Chair will play a crucial role in advising NHS Blood and Transplant on all aspects of organ and tissue donation and transplantation, ensuring equity of access and best outcomes for all recipients.

As a key member of the Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation Clinical Team, the Chair will work alongside national and international leaders in the field to deliver the strategy Organ Donation and Transplantation 2030: Meeting the Need.

The Chair will provide leadership and professional input in solid organ transplantation to NHS Blood and Transplant and the wider donation and transplantation community.

Requirements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in solid organ transplantation and donation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with national and international leaders
  • Knowledge of the NHS Blood and Transplant strategy and policies

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and experience in solid organ transplantation and donation. They will be able to work collaboratively with national and international leaders and have a deep understanding of the NHS Blood and Transplant strategy and policies.
