Job Overview

Newly created position to work closely with the client's Key Worker (Case Manager) and the Team Leader in planning and delivering support activities for clients under VACCA's care.
The role manages a caseload of children under VACCA's care and leads investigations into new child protection reports. This is an opportunity to make a real-life difference in the lives of Aboriginal children and families involved in the child protection system.

This role will provide an integrated response to support Aboriginal children and families, addressing their identified needs. The Case Worker will create a culturally connected environment, ensuring Aboriginal culture is integrated into the program.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing advice and support to inform respectful engagement of families
* Risk and other assessments, planning, monitoring, and reviews undertaken by child protection
* Ensuring the rights of Aboriginal children in child protection and collaborating on case planning
* Connecting families with support

About You
* Strong understanding of child protection principles and practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
