About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Social Care Professional to join our Assessment Team in Herefordshire. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work directly with children and families to assess their needs and develop effective plans to address these needs. With a strong focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, you will be dedicated to delivering high-quality services that prioritize the well-being and safety of our most vulnerable citizens.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent assessment, report-writing, and case management skills, gained through at least 2 years' experience in statutory social care. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's needs and develop effective plans to address these needs
  • Investigate concerns and allegations of abuse or neglect, working closely with partner agencies and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve service outcomes
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
