About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Clerk to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the ward team, including answering telephone enquiries, responding to patient and visitor queries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the coordination of patient care, including preparing patient records, updating medical notes, and communicating with healthcare professionals.
  • Support the ward team in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Good keyboard skills and experience of working in a busy, challenging environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, visitors, and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Working Pattern
