Automotive Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technologist to join our team in Milton Keynes/Bedford area. As an Automotive Technologist, you will play a key role in the test and development of future vehicles.

This is a challenging workshop environment where you will work closely with development technicians and engineers on an ongoing contract basis.

The successful candidate will be involved in preparing, building and maintaining vehicles or components for testing, as well as setting up instrumentation, supporting testing in static and dynamic conditions, gathering accurate test data, evaluating and identifying concerns on completion of tests.

• City & Guilds / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
• Automotive electrical and electronic test experience relating to HMI, navigation / infotainment or mobile phone applications
• Equivalent experience on a major testing program (e.g. aerospace, telecoms or similar)
• Vehicle system knowledge with ability to fault find
• Understanding of component measurement techniques
• Test / Diagnostic experience
• Data analysis and report writing skills
• Good understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
• Keen interest in latest smartphones and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Powerpoint and Excel) for producing graphs and presenting findings
