We are seeking a Radiography Assistant to join our team in the X-ray Department at Weston General Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to work 22.5 hours per week in a busy but rewarding environment.

The department works 24/7, and weekend working will be required as part of this role. The hours will be worked between 8am-8pm.

The Radiography Assistant will be responsible for assisting radiographers and radiologists before, during, and after X-ray procedures. This role is challenging but rewarding, and excellent communication and people skills are essential.

The department is committed to investing in role development and learning opportunities across all staff groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care to patients as delegated by radiographers, radiologists, and sonographers.
  • Undertake a range of duties with direct supervision and communicate with the team.
  • Be competent to provide compassionate care to agreed quality standards.
  • Continue to progress through the development of further skills, knowledge, and competencies.
