As a Radiography Assistant in the X-ray Department at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, you will play a vital role in supporting practitioners to meet patient needs. The department works 24/7, and you will be required to work 22.5 hours per week, with weekend working as part of this role. The hours will be worked between 8am-8pm.

The Radiography Assistant performs an essential role in assisting radiographers and radiologists before, during, and after the X-ray procedure. You will be responsible for providing care to patients as delegated by the radiographers/radiologists/sonographers as directed by the appropriate team leader.

The department is committed to investing in role development and learning opportunities across all staff groups. You will be expected to undertake a range of duties with direct supervision and will be required to communicate with the team. The Radiography Assistant will be competent to provide compassionate care to agreed quality standards.
