Job Summary

AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Equipment Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sunderland. As an Equipment Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting current production and the development of a world-class mass manufacturing Gigafactory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and maintain the UK's first 'at scale' Gigafactory, ensuring process and plant equipment are safe and legally compliant.
  • Represent the engineering department in all facility aspects, from initial project phase to mass production.
  • Ensure facility performance is class-leading, challenging but achievable, and agree equipment strategies to maximize facility OEE.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance to ensure equipment is kept in first-class condition.
  • Procure production facilities and processes, and manage contractors and equipment suppliers.
Requirements
  • Technical degree or certificate in an electrical discipline.
  • Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines.
  • Good communication and report writing skills, with proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
