We are seeking an experienced Scientist to join our Molecular Biology Team, responsible for genetically engineering plasmid DNA starting material using creative and effective strategies that meet clients' needs while harnessing the best attributes of the downstream process.
This exciting opportunity is part of our CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) focus on Nucleic Acid Medicines, ex-vivo & in-vivo cell and genetic medicines, Gene therapy using viral vectors and gene editing, and Autologous & Allogenic cell therapy.
Your Responsibilities- Genetically engineer plasmid DNA starting material using innovative approaches that align with clients' requirements and optimize downstream processing.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement efficient DNA production strategies.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- MSc level qualification in molecular biology or equivalent.
- Practical experience in cloning DNA, including generating own strategies, primer design, PCR, bacterial transformation, and amplification.
- Strong experience with DNA purification techniques at varying scales, using kits and/or self-packed hardware.
- Familiarity with gel electrophoresis apparatus for DNA analysis and software for sequence analysis.
- Experience in aseptic technique and controlled environments.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards such as ISO/cGMP is desirable.
