Join the NHS team as a Healthcare Support Worker in our busy Ambulatory Emergency Care department. As a valued member of our team, you will work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients attending our Ambulatory Emergency Care service under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to document care accurately, take messages, and pass on information as required. They will also be responsible for ordering stock and equipment and ensuring that stock levels are maintained within the unit.

Main Duties
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform ECGs and report findings to clinicians.
  • Conduct blood glucose monitoring and cannulation.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist patients with scanning and radiology when required.
Person Specification
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of hospital computer systems and ability to use them effectively.
  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant in an acute care hospital setting.
Estimated Salary Range:

£25,329 - £26,958 per annum (inclusive of HCAS).
