Job Title: Clinical Coding Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coding Auditor to join our team at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Coding Auditor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of clinical coding data across our organization.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of clinical coding in various specialties and will be able to provide complex clinical coding advice and information to colleagues within the NHS. You will work closely with wards and the data quality team to ensure that data is accurate, timely, standardized, and robust to support performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the Internal Clinical Coding Audit programme and the trusts annual DSPT Audit.
  • Monitor data quality and clinical coding standards in line with local and national guidelines.
  • Represent the trust at the Regional Clinical Coding Advisory group and feedback on/action any issues raised as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • ACC qualification.
  • Clinical Coding approved Auditor qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge of Clinical Coding in various specialties.
  • Presentation skills.
