Deputy Gardens Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Gardens Manager to join our team at ECG Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Gardener in the upkeep and maintenance of our stunning private estate in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the management of the existing team to ensure the gardens are maintained to a high horticultural standard.
  • Deputise for the Head Gardener in their absence.
  • Prune and maintain plants, including wisteria and roses.
  • Have good horticultural knowledge and plant identification skills.
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for commuting.
  • Have spray tickets (PA1/PA6) and a chainsaw licence.
Requirements:
  • Academic horticultural qualification.
  • Well-rounded experience in a similar hands-on role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
