SHE Professional Job Opportunity in Construction

A dynamic construction business based in the West Midlands is looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, a proven ability to influence stakeholders, and excellent communication skills.

This position offers a chance to develop within the company, working towards a leadership role in the future. In the short term, there are no management responsibilities, allowing the successful candidate to focus on delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement, collaborating with the team to implement changes.
  2. Stay up-to-date with relevant SHE legislation, company policies, and procedures, ensuring site teams adhere to them.
  3. Offer expert health and safety advice to site management when required, participating in regular meetings to monitor progress.
  4. Lead incident and accident investigations within your area of responsibility.
About You:
  1. Substantial experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably holding a NEBOSH or NVQ qualification at certificate level or above.
  2. Capacity to engage and influence various stakeholders, work on-site effectively, and set a good example for others.
  3. Detailed understanding of health and safety regulations, compliance practices, and relevant legislation.
  4. A driven individual who can initiate actions independently, possessing exceptional communication skills.
