Job Summary

Athena Care Homes is seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the care team in delivering person-centered care, ensuring residents receive the best possible support and care.
  • Provide clinical care and support to residents, including basic nursing care, medication management, and wound care.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents with meal times, ensuring they receive nutritious and appetizing meals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual residents' needs.
  • Participate in activities and events that promote social interaction and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents.
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a care setting, preferably in a nursing home or residential care environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move residents, as required.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
