Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Podiatry Assistant to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our podiatry team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our podiatrists in delivering exceptional services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support to podiatrists, including assistance in ulcer/wound care and surgical clinics.
- Run your own footcare clinics and conduct domiciliary visits, providing nail care under the guidance of a podiatrist.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of clinics, including preparation of clinic rooms, ensuring smooth operation of multi-disciplinary team clinics, managing stock, and handling clinical administration.
- Perform nail cutting, assist with patient care and education, conduct wound dressings, and liaise with other departments.
- Support audit and research initiatives and utilize the EPIC electronic record system.
Requirements
- A caring, proactive individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Level 3 qualification in healthcare.
- Strong time management and IT skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, clinically challenging environment.
