An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Leader to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As Head of Finance - Corporate & Transformation, you will play a key role in leading the provision of financial business partnering within transformation & corporate services, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, professional accounting standards, internal control, and the achievement of financial targets of the Trust.
Main Duties of the JobYou will be responsible for leading your team to ensure the on-going financial viability of services and advising on corrective measures to maintain a strong financial risk rating. You will also play a key role in supporting the Associate Director of Finance and be a collaborative member of the finance senior team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the provision of financial business partnering within transformation & corporate services
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, professional accounting standards, internal control, and the achievement of financial targets of the Trust
- Lead your team to ensure the on-going financial viability of services
- Advise on corrective measures to maintain a strong financial risk rating
- Support the Associate Director of Finance and be a collaborative member of the finance senior team
We are looking for a Senior Financial Leader with significant post-qualification experience, preferably in a managerial role, with experience of working in a public sector at a senior level. You should have experience of staff management, preparing and reviewing budgets, and implementing change in financial systems, processes, and procedures. You should also be able to work and influence senior managers and clinicians, and be able to research and implement new processes.
