A senior nursing position has become available for a Clinical Lead Nurse to work in a care home based in Scotland. The successful candidate will be working for a leading healthcare provider.

This care home offers nursing care for individuals with complex medical needs, as well as 24-hour nursing dementia care provided by specialist teams trained in the complexities of looking after those living with dementia, which may also have other long-term medical conditions.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.

As the Clinical Lead Nurse, your key duties will include:

  • Leading a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care
  • Promoting independence and dignity while positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care
  • Supporting the delivery of improvements while driving quality standards to further improve efficiencies in line with CQC guidelines
  • Ensuring a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment is provided for all residents, employees, and visitors to the Home
  • Supporting the Home Manager and taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Home

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Experience of managing a team, ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately, and rotas are in place to enable the smooth, efficient running of the home
  • Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services
  • Experienced in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments, with an understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Able to maintain accurate documentation and resident records while incorporating the use of modern technology
  • Confident in overseeing all aspects of medicine management on your shift in accordance with company policies and current legislation
  • Able to support, guide, teach, and mentor others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times
  • Passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families

The successful Clinical Lead Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £22.25 per hour and the annual salary is £45,701.50 per annum.
