PuroVets is an award-winning, RCVS-accredited practice in the picturesque county of Somerset, offering an incredible opportunity for a Night Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Established in 1985, this dedicated Emergency Clinic provides out-of-hours services for veterinary practices across the Somerset region.
The practice sees a wide variety of cases, including traumas, toxin ingestions, blocked bladders, GDVs, C-sections, and more. They are passionate about fostering their team members' professional growth, encouraging and funding CPD and certificates. You'll be joining a fantastic team with a supportive network, regular social events, and a brilliant sense of humour.
This hospital handles a diverse range of small animal cases, including exotics and wildlife. Equipped with cutting-edge technology such as advanced x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy facilities, it provides an ideal environment for delivering high-quality care.
As a Night Veterinary Nurse, you'll work closely with a dedicated night vet to care for inpatients, assist with out-of-hours surgeries, and manage anaesthesia. Additional support comes from a twilight ACA focused on animal care and infection control, as well as a twilight RVN handling patient triage and appointments.
This part-time role offers an average of 31.5 hours per week with a rolling rota of 4 nights on, 7 nights off, and 3 nights on, 7 nights off. The salary is up to £38,500 (pro-rata), and the benefits package includes RCVS and VDS fees covered, generous CPD allowance, and a focus on wellbeing.
