Compassionate Animal Care Specialist

The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a pioneering animal welfare organization in Scotland, is seeking an exceptional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its dedicated team at the Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Dumbarton Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres.
This exciting 9-month fixed-term opportunity presents a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of abused, abandoned, and injured animals rescued by the charity each year.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality customer service and clinical care as part of the clinic animal nursing team, promoting animal welfare and supporting veterinary surgeons. Key responsibilities include providing supportive care to animals receiving treatment within the veterinary department and assisting with the diagnosis, treatment, and care of sick or injured animals.
Based in our state-of-the-art facilities in Glasgow, the Registered Veterinary Nurse will collaborate with an experienced and passionate team of veterinary professionals. This rewarding role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to work with welfare animals, making a tangible difference to their lives.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Proven experience of supporting teams and interacting with the general public.
The working hours are 37.5 per week, spread across 10 days out of 14, including weekend shifts and backshifts on a rotational basis. Please note that this position requires a Standard Disclosure Scotland check.
