Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Supervisor to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing support to our Finance Director and supervising a team of accounts staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Support: Assist with accounting transactions, including supervising three staff members and providing holiday cover.
- Office Management: Support directors with office management tasks, including administration and record-keeping.
- Financial Reporting: Produce monthly financial reports for board meetings and Employee Ownership Trust meetings.
- Bank Administration: Review monthly bank reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
- Credit Card Administration: Monitor and set up credit cards, scan and file credit card statements, and maintain accurate records.
- Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register, scan and file invoices for year-end audit, and ensure accurate records.
- Financial Planning: Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and provide support for ad-hoc projects.
- Year-End Audit: Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and ensure accurate records.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records, including office management tasks, and provide support to the Finance Director as required.
Requirements:
- Staff Management: Proven experience in staff management and supervision.
- Accounting Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, with a strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and double entry.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
