Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting records for our European and Saudi Arabian offices, as well as entity accounts preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review accounting records, including statutory format financial statements, audits, and revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate with teams within the Finance Department and Functional Area and Office Leaders to ensure accurate GL coding and Chart of Accounts use.
- Lead and participate in complex accounting projects and initiatives, including tax matters and other ad-hoc assignments.
- Meet accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews, resolving problems, and identifying system improvements.
- Ensure all VAT regulations are adhered to, including preparation of VAT Returns.
- Support HMRC initiatives and changes, including Making Tax Digital, Construction Industry Scheme, Economic Crime Act, and the Basis Period Reform.
Requirements:
- Proven and progressive experience in a fast-paced, challenging professional services environment, preferably in a large global law firm.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience and knowledge in European and Cross Border tax.
- Demonstrated high level of diplomacy, confidentiality, and excellent judgement in navigating sensitive issues.
- Strong Excel knowledge and experience with 3E and Chrome River.
