Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities at our Manufacturing site in Heathfield, Newton Abbot. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality maintenance services.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Supervise maintenance staff and provide guidance on complex repairs, ensuring that tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Create and interpret technical schematics and diagrams to support maintenance activities and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- GCSE A-C in Math's, English, and Science, or equivalent.
- Higher Level Engineering Education or comparable experience.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in electrical systems.
- Experience in maintaining industrial machinery and equipment.
- Competent in interpreting technical schematics.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on maintaining equipment and ensuring production schedules are met.
