Job Title: Traffic Planner

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Planner to join our team at Bartrums, a leading UK Logistics business. As a Traffic Planner, you will be responsible for routing and scheduling drivers and large fleets of vehicles, as well as interacting with internal and external parties, customers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient routing and scheduling strategies to optimize fleet performance
  • Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve relationships
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of fleet performance, including vehicle maintenance, driver hours, and other key metrics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in traffic planning, logistics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other related software
