Insurance Portfolio Manager

Gerrard White, a forward-thinking law firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Portfolio Manager to lead their claims team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory experience in insurance claims processing and in-depth knowledge of civil litigation. The Role
About the Job
This position involves overseeing claims processing, reviewing and approving claims, and ensuring compliance with service-level agreements. You will also be responsible for providing training, guidance, and mentorship to team members to drive performance. Additionally, you will conduct file reviews, supervise court document preparation, and perform internal and external audits.
Responsibilities include managing team training needs, delivering presentations, and developing training materials. You will also participate in client reporting and make process improvement recommendations. Furthermore, you will handle recruitment, staff reviews, and appraisals while fostering a motivated and cohesive team.
The Ideal Candidate
You should have:
- Previous experience in insurance claims processing, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of civil litigation and experience managing litigated portfolios.
- Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a keen eye for trends and process improvements.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team, both in-office and remotely.
What We Offer
