This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Structural Engineer to join Doufre Construction, a well-established and thriving company.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the structural design and analysis of architectural glazing projects, including balustrades and atriums.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of project proposals and bids, including estimating project timescales and costs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure designs meet specifications and safety standards.

Requirements:



  • BEng or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with knowledge of architectural glazing.
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
  • Experience working with major materials, including concrete, steel, and glass.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with bespoke bracketry and support framework calculations, including weld specifications.
  • Skilled in fixing calculations and torque values for pull testing.
  • Experience compiling Designer SER packs for Scotland (advantageous).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
