Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and assisting on projects designated by your Group Leader.
You will oversee and direct CAD/Revit Technicians and Junior/Graduate Engineers as required. Attend meetings and site visits to review and monitor works, and undertake surveys as needed to progress projects.

Key Responsibilities- Design and assist in supervising projects, establishing client briefs, technical requirements, scope of works, cost plans, and agree deliverables, including reports, calculations, specifications, schedules, and drawings.
- Agree on the level of service and project design duties with your Group Leader or Line Manager for each project, understanding the relationship with the fee.
- Assist the Group Leader in monitoring engineering/CAD/Revit resource requirements for each project within your control.
- Carry out engineering concept design to detailed designs, tender and contract, on-site supervision to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and completion deadlines are achieved.
- Liaise with the design team to produce coordinated designs that are technically compliant to a consistent quality and standard. Provide a positive contribution to design/project meetings as directed.
- Monitor and control project progress, design variations, and project financial budgets where applicable.
- Undertake structural survey works and produce reports for the same. Implement and assist in managing QA systems and procedures on all projects.
- Assist with Project Archiving at the end of a project completion.
- Continuously adopt all Civil and Structural engineering rules and regulations, endeavoring to ensure protection of the Company's reputation and Professional integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience as it relates to building design.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, or similar analytical software.
- Experience in design calculations and layouts.
- Ability to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Requires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysis.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
