Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Curator of Public Engagement to lead the development and delivery of an exciting multi-disciplinary programme at Theartgorgeous. This role involves championing live and participatory experiences, generating collaborations with local communities, platforming dynamic artists and experimental practices, and opening up wider conversations on key contemporary issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver a diverse range of public programmes that engage adult audiences.
  • To work closely with artists, communities, and other stakeholders to co-create innovative and engaging experiences.
  • To manage and coordinate logistics, including venue hire, catering, and technical requirements.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance figures, participant feedback, and budget tracking.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as arts management, community engagement, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in programme development and delivery, ideally in a public-facing context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with artists, communities, and stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including 25 days annual leave, pension scheme, and professional development opportunities.
