**Job Overview:** Learning Support Professional - SEN School in Tameside

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at an outstanding SEN school in Tameside. As a key member of the school's support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will have at least 6 months of experience working with children and a strong understanding of supporting students with SEN, including non-verbal autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex needs. You will be required to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support students with SEN in various classroom settings
  2. Provide individualised support to students with complex needs
  3. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
  4. Maintain accurate records and report progress
  5. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with children
  • Strong knowledge of supporting students with SEN, ASD, and complex needs
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • Up-to-date DBS clearance and references

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
