About the Role

The Business and Library Systems team at Queen Mary University of London is seeking a skilled and experienced Business Systems Analyst/Developer to provide second-line support, maintenance, and enhancement services for the university's library and business applications.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in the support and maintenance of library and business applications, with a strong understanding of library systems and technologies.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate significant experience in technical support. Essential skills and experience include:

  • Proficient technical knowledge and practical experience in library systems and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and departmental colleagues
  • Good problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and improve
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create clear system, support, and process documentation
  • Creating and maintaining interfaces between different corporate systems
  • Ability to provide training and create relevant documentation
  • Self-motivated team member with the ability to challenge and influence others in the provision of innovative and cost-effective solutions
