About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Global Trading Controller to join our team at Goldman Sachs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated, and public financial institution are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss analyses for the trading business.
  2. Carry out ongoing price verification procedures to ensure accurate valuation of firm inventory.
  3. Review new trades for suitable valuation, accounting treatment, and disclosure in the financial statements.
  4. Become knowledgeable about capital requirements that impact the trading business.
  5. Analyze and present the balance sheet and funding sources of the trading business.
  6. Prepare financial statements and/or relevant disclosures for the trading business.
  7. Collaborate with the financial reporting team to prepare key external reports such as earnings release and 10Q/ 10K disclosures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a professional certification such as CA /CFA/CMA.
  • Possess basic industry knowledge and strong accounting skills.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail with sound judgment and integrity.
  • Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, tools, and utilities for business use.
  • Be proactive, enthusiastic, and team oriented.
  • Able to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.

Benefits and Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on location and experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
