The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Sir Richard Friend and closely collaborate with Prof. Akshay Rao in the Department of Physics and Dr. Hugo Bronstein in the Department of Chemistry. This is an exceptional chance to explore and develop the fundamental electronic and optical properties of radical-based organic semiconductor materials (ROSCs) and harness them to create new possibilities for optoelectronic and spintronic devices.

To be eligible for this position, you should possess a PhD in Physics or a related area and have a strong track record of high-quality research. Excellent publication credentials and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Experience with device fabrication, characterisation, and modelling is desirable.

This is a fixed-term position available from January 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter for a period of two years. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We actively support equality, diversity, and inclusion and encourage applications from all sections of society.

Please note that only candidates eligible to live and work in the UK will be considered. If you are passionate about advancing knowledge in the field of organic semiconductors, we look forward to receiving your application.
