About the Role

We are seeking a highly numerate and organized Financial Assistant to join our Admin team at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of working in an accounts environment, preferably in a laboratory-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for finance enquiries and provide cover for the team during holidays or other absences.
  • Raise and process invoices and expense claims, reconcile credit card statements, and run UFS reports.
  • Maintain, file, and archive financial records and databases, and provide credit control for month-end procedures.
  • Act as a point of contact for financial matters within the Institute and provide administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • GCSE level or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of colleagues across the Institute.
