Programme OverviewOur Intern & Placement programme is designed to provide a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. The programme is based on Arcadis core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design and development of safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems, and be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the overall quality of our road infrastructure.
- Work on a wide variety of waste and clean water infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets to deliver sustainable solutions, ensuring resilience and quality of water supplies to our communities through innovative technologically advanced and natural solutions alike.
- Work on all aspects of Civil Engineering, from earthworks to drainage and across all types of structures, using materials from timber, steelwork, reinforced concrete to wood to support the Railway and provide the most viable and efficient solutions for our customers.
- Support our clients in delivery of new connections and grid upgrades to help the UK Electricity Industry meet its Net Zero carbon reduction ambitions.
- Working towards a degree in a relevant subject (Placement & Intern only)
- Demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders
- Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
